Monson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Monson tries to clinch but Rondough moves out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Monson.
Rondough fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Monson avoids it really well and circles away.
Rondough shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Monson as he avoids it easily.
Monson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Rondough stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rondough wants it to stay on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Still in half guard, Rondough seems content to control.

Monson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Rondough locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Monson is forced to tap!

After the fight, Rawjon Rondough was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
