Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xillin Daxon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Swarowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Swarowski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xillin Daxon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Swarowski!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swarowski swats away the attempt to clinch by Daxon.
Daxon throws a body punch but Swarowski moves out of range.
Daxon moves in looking to clinch but Swarowski pushes him off.

Swarowski closes the distance and clinches.
Daxon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Swarowski is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Daxon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Swarowski gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Swarowski tries to circle away but Daxon has him pinned against the cage.
Swarowski stalls.
Daxon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Swarowski is pressed up against the cage. Daxon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Swarowski down to the mat. Swarowski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xillin Daxon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Swarowski tries to bum rush Daxon with a series of wild strikes but Daxon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Xillin Daxon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daxon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Swarowski defends it nicely.

Swarowski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daxon, pushing him back against the cage.

Daxon tries to land a knee to the head but Swarowski blocks with his arms.

Daxon misses with a takedown attempt - Swarowski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Swarowski lands a right hand that snaps the head of Daxon backwards.

Swarowski throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Daxon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Swarowski pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Swarowski has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Come on Swarowski - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Swarowski scores with a shoulder strike.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Swarowski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Daxon goes for a takedown in the clinch but Swarowski prevents it.
Daxon wants to take the fight to the mat but Swarowski manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Swarowski connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Swarowski cracks Daxon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Daxon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Swarowski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Swarowski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Daxon misses with a jab, cross combination.

Daxon gets a double leg takedown into Swarowski's guard.
Swarowski throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Swarowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daxon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Daxon is keen to just control but Swarowski is a slippery customer.

Daxon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Swarowski is just riding it out for now. Daxon eventually gives up the hold.
Swarowski is looking for a sweep. Daxon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Daxon is looking to take a break and control but Swarowski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Daxon connects with a nice short shot to Swarowski's temple.

Daxon is working for a submission of some sort.
Daxon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Daxon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Swarowski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Swarowski can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Daxon is nestled in close to Swarowski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
