Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Killington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Killington comes to the cage accompanied by The Jiu Jitsu Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buzz Killington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derrick Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan misses with a wild combination.

Killington looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Killington is looking for a kimura here.

Killington is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Morgan has managed to free his arm - good work.
Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Killington. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Morgan wants to improve his position but Killington is controlling well.

Killington looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Killington is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Morgan sees it coming and defends easily.

Killington is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Morgan is defending against the submission attempts here by Killington.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Killington is looking for a kimura but Morgan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Killington to get the leverage.

Morgan tries to get to full guard but Killington has control of the leg.
Killington passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Morgan!

Killington prevents Morgan from getting the reversal.

Killington working for a guillotine from mount but Morgan is in no mood to give up.
Morgan is looking to improve his position but Killington isn't that keen on the idea.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Killington goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Morgan is on top in guard.

Killington working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morgan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morgan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Morgan wants to control from the top but Killington keeps moving.
Morgan is stalling in the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Killington looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Morgan has picked Killington up and slammed him! Killington can't keep hold of the triangle and Morgan manages to pass to side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buzz Killington dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Morgan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Killington shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Morgan as he jumps to the side.
Killington looks for a takedown but Morgan sprawls well.
Killington shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morgan sprawls well. Morgan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Killington gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buzz Killington. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Morgan misses with the combination.
An inside leg kick lands from Morgan.
Killington closes the distance and clinches up with Morgan, looking for a takedown. Killington pushes Morgan against the cage but Morgan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Killington shoots in for a takedown but Morgan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Morgan cracks the inside of Killington's front leg.
Morgan lands with a shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Killington looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morgan is fending him off so far but Killington persists. Nope, Morgan circles away and we're back to standing.
Morgan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Killington takes a jab right on the kisser.


It looks like Buzz Killington has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morgan cracks Killington with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Killington's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Morgan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Killington scrambles back to his feet.
Morgan throws a one two combo.
A nice leg kick lands there from Morgan.
A combination from Morgan does no damage.
Derrick Morgan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Morgan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morgan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Killington doesn't seem bothered though.
A combination from Morgan does no damage.
Morgan throws a good cross that connects.
Morgan keeps Killington at a distance using the push kick.
A lazy left from Morgan finds it's target.
A punch combination from Morgan misses.

Morgan lands a left and a right that send Killington crashing to the mat, dazed. Morgan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Killington is rocked!
Morgan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Oh Killington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Morgan lands with a cross.
Morgan cracks Killington with a hook to the temple - Killington is on wobbly legs here! Morgan swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Killington falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Morgan wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Derrick Morgan!
