Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johannes Liechtenauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kahn's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Boris Brejcha - Flockentanz . Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Oliver Kahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Johannes Liechtenauer!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liechtenauer throws a lazy head kick

and Kahn counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kahn.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Liechtenauer has momentary wrist control but Kahn slips an elbow through the middle.
Kahn throws a big right hand that misses.
Kahn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liechtenauer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kahn is working hard here to advance position.

Liechtenauer is looking for a triangle but Kahn pushes his legs off easily.

Kahn drops back looking for a leg! Liechtenauer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Liechtenauer manages to kick Kahn off! Kahn jumps back into Liechtenauer's guard.
Kahn makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kahn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kahn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Liechtenauer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kahn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Liechtenauer's guard.

Kahn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Liechtenauer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kahn, into his guard.

Kahn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Liechtenauer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Liechtenauer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kahn wants to sweep here but Liechtenauer controlling him for the moment.
Kahn has momentary wrist control but Liechtenauer slips an elbow through the middle.

Kahn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Liechtenauer defends it easily.

Kahn has his foot on Liechtenauer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Liechtenauer works his way back into a safe position though.

Liechtenauer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kahn looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kahn looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kahn!

Kahn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Liechtenauer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
