Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robson Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mendes shoots in and drives through. Cartman sprawls well.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cartman throws a series of punches but Mendes avoids them all with ease.
Cartman throws a combination. Mendes tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Mendes looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Mendes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mendes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mendes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mendes works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Cartman is defending against the submission attempts here by Mendes.

Mendes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cartman sees it coming and defends easily.

Cartman won't allow Mendes to pass to mount.

Mendes is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Mendes is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cartman has managed to free his arm - good work.

Mendes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cartman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mendes.

Cartman has one foot on Mendes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Cartman misses with the combination.
A left and a right from Cartman both land. Nice combination.
Cartman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Donk. Cartman catches Mendes right on the button with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mendes shoots in looking for a takedown. Cartman tries to sprawl out of it but Mendes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cartman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mendes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cartman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mendes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Daniel Cartman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robson Mendes.

Mendes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cartman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mendes somewhat.
Mendes shoots in for a takedown but Cartman shows good takedown defense.

Cartman explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

It looks like Robson Mendes has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cartman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cartman lands with a good body shot.

Oooh a lovely combination from Cartman sends Mendes down but not out. Cartman dives into side control looking to finish.

Mendes is rocked!

Cartman stands up.
Mendes is still on wobbly legs! Can Cartman finish him?
Cartman stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cartman lands with a right that hurts Mendes. Mendes looks to clinch but Cartman throws a short knee that drops Mendes. This one is all over!
