The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Liddell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Palmer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Liddell somewhat.
Liddell has a takedown stuffed.
Palmer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Palmer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Liddells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Palmer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Liddell's hands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Arnold Palmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Liddell.
Liddell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Liddell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Liddell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Liddell dives in and grabs Palmer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Palmer pushes down on Liddell's head and hops out.
Palmer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd cheers as Palmer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Liddell doesn't seem phased though.

Liddell checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Palmer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Liddell's head backwards.
Liddell drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Palmer lands a left and a right that send Liddell crashing to the mat, dazed. Palmer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Liddell is rocked!

Palmer moves in close and cracks Liddell with a massive right hand! Liddell, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Palmer!
