The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Nowak blocks the leg kick.
No joy there for Bylba, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nowak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bylba as he avoids it easily.
Nowak looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bylba fails to land with a series of punches.
Bylba takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bylba lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nowak circles away quickly and effectively.
Nowak tries to clinch up but Bylba circles away and keeps his distance.
Nowak misses with a hook. Bylba ducked under it nicely.
Bylba scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Szymon Nowak has been cut.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nowak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nowak stands up and beckons Bylba to his feet.

Bylba avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nowak could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bylba stalks Nowak and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nowak 's face. Nowak staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bylba dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nowak . That did some damage!

Bylba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nowak has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nowak shoots in for a double leg but Bylba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
