PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Double Rainbow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gasan Ibragimov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gasan Ibragimov was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ibragimov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rainbow.

Rainbow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rainbow sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ibragimov's guard.

Rainbow is working for a kimura but Ibragimov is defending it quite comfortably.

Rainbow is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rainbow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ibragimov as he jumps to the side.

Ibragimov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ibragimov showed some decent athleticism there.
It looks like Ibragimov is going to stand back up.

Ibragimov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rainbow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ibragimov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ibragimov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rainbow has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ibragimov is looking to defend but Rainbow has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ibragimov! Rainbow pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ibragimov taps out and this one is all over!
