Nomo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Down Rodeo. Hideo Nomo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Loco gets caught flat footed, as Nomo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Nomo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Loco is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Loco thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Loco wants to stand and escape but Nomo is having none of it.

Nomo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nomo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Loco throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nomo.

Loco stuffs the takedown.

Nomo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Loco's guard.
Nomo passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Loco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nomo on the ground.
Loco is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nomo is controlling him well.
