Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ty Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ty Angle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Garza!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angle shoots for a takedown but Garza saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Garza is looking to land body kicks.

Garza fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Angle, pushing him back against the cage.
Garza using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Angle is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Angle tries to pull guard but Garza holds him up against the cage and eventually Angle drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ty Angle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Garza takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The crowd are getting on Garza's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Angle goes for a takedown attempt but Garza pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Angle lands a high kick to the side of Garza's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Angle dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Ray Garza has been cut.
Angle trying to control the position from guard on top but Garza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Angleis looking to pass into half guard but Garza pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Garza is in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Angle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Garza wants to control from the top but Angle keeps moving.
Angle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Garza manages to get himself to full guard.
Angle wants to pass the guard but Garza is keeping the position.

Garza pulls Angle in close to his closed guard and prevents Angle from doing any damage or advancing position.
Angle passes Garza's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Garza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Angle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Angle stalling away here and it's allowed Garza to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Angle is looking to work some ground and pound but Garza has wrist control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Garza keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Angle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ray Garza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Angle has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Garza finds it's way round the side to connect with Angle's head.

Garza manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Garza is pressed up against the cage. Angle has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Garza down to the mat. Garza avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Garza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Angle moves away.

Angle closes the distance and clinches up with Garza, looking for a takedown. Angle pushes Garza against the cage but Garza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Angle shoots in looking for a takedown. Garza tries to sprawl out of it but Angle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Garza lands with a kick to the temple. Angle shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Garza darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Garza seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Angle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Angle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Garza's waist but Garza gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Angle off to one side.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Angle passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Garza!

Angle has hold of Garza's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Garza manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Angle is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Garza is surviving well by controlling Angle's body position as best he can.

Angle gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Ty Angle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Garza closes the distance and clinches.
Garza lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Angle.

Angle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Garza throws out the jab.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I've got Garza winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
