PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krazy Horse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Plant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horse comes to the cage accompanied by Otis. Plant has chosen Au innebunit salcamii as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Plant!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plant closes the distance and clinches up with Horse, looking for a takedown. Plant pushes Horse against the cage but Horse circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horse uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Plant.
Plant takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Marcus Plant has been cut.
Horse shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Plant defends it nicely.
Plant tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Horse paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A head kick misses from Horse.
Horse moves out of range as Plant strikes.
Horse tries for a takedown but Plant sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Horse lunges at Plant with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Plant's hand.
Plant is looking to clinch.
Plant lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Plant moves into the clinch.
Horse tries to break free but Plant pushes him back against the cage.

A short body shot lands from Horse as the two fighters clinch.
Plant looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Horse manages to break the clinch.
Horse tries a head kick but it misses.
Plant tries to close the distance and clinch up but Horse swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Plant throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Horse shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Horse wants to work for an arm triangle but Plant is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Horse seems to be looking for submissions.

Horse wants to free his trapped foot but Plant is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Plant tries to get to full guard but Horse has control of the leg.
Horse thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Horse wants to pass to mount but Plant is defending the position.
Plant gets full guard.
Plant manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Horse manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Plant prevents Horse from improving his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Plant missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Plant thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Horse's head.
Horse is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Horse is defending against the submission attempts here by Plant.
Plant is taking a breather. Horse says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Plant seems to be working for a kimura but Horse defends the submission attempt.

Plant wants to control but Horse is keeping him busy.

Plant thows a huge punch but Horse dodges it nicely.
Plant is keen to just control but Horse is a slippery customer.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Horse is not going to allow Plant to sit and survive in this position.

Plant is bucking up trying to escape but Horse cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Plant is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Horse gets his way!
