Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Egardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenta Yamashita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yamashita shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yamashita was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Yamashita thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fernando Egardo will probably get the nod.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Yamashita crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Egardo - the referee stops the clock and Yamashita gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Egardo. Yamashita manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Egardo tries to bum rush Yamashita with a series of wild strikes but Yamashita uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Yamashita shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Egardo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Egardo wants to control the position but Yamashita says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Yamashita looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Fernando Egardo just wasn't active enough.
Egardo throws a sloppy head kick and Yamashita moves out of range easily.
Yamashita shoots for a takedown but Egardo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Yamashita dives in and grabs Egardo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Egardo pushes down on Yamashita's head and hops out.
No joy there for Egardo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yamashita tries to score a power double leg takedown but Egardo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yamashita somewhat.
Egardo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
