PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jae Wilco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Crack Corn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crack Corn has chosen Jimmy cracks heads and he dont care as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jae Wilco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Crack Corn!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crack Corn shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilco sprawls well. He's pushed Crack Corn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wilco slaps away a takedown attempt from Crack Corn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wilco throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wilco stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilco wants it to stay on the feet.
Jae Wilco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Crack Corn.

Wilco gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Wilco has his foot on Crack Corn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Crack Corn works his way back into a safe position though.

Wilco escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crack Corn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Crack Corn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wilco's guard.
Wilco lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Crack Corn!

Wilco is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Crack Corn has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Crack Corn!
