The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adamson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lil III tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Adamson is in Lil III's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Adamson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lil III has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Adamson has managed to get both his arms back between Lil III's legs - danger averted.

Lil III is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Adamson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Adamson shrugs it off.

Lil III has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Adamson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
