Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Scott Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Flint Marko!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Summers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Summers tries a head kick but it misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Summers.
Summers tries a head kick but it misses.
Summers throws a body kick that misses.
Summers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A head kick misses from Summers.
Summers fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Marko has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Summers.
Summers misses with a body kick.
Summers throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Summers throws the kick towards the body but Marko avoids it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marko takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Summers throws a body kick that misses.

Marko takes a swing at Summers's ribcage but misses.
Summers throws a leg kick that is checked

and Marko counters with a shoot takedown. Summers fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Marko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Summers is looking for a triangle but Marko pushes his legs off easily.
Marko controls from within his opponent's guard.
It looks like Marko might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Summers has his foot on Marko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marko works his way back into a safe position though.

Summers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Summers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Marko postures up and lands a big shot to Summers's brow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Summers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Summers had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marko defends it easily.
Summers is breathing heavily.
Marko is in close to Summers's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Marko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Summers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Summers looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Marko has picked Summers up and slammed him! Summers can't keep hold of the triangle and Marko manages to pass to side control!
Summers is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Marko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Marko lands a nice forearm strike.
Marko is looking to take a break and control but Summers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Summers is looking for a sweep.

Marko has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Summers!

Marko postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Summers out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Marko goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Flint Marko!
During a confident post fight interview, Flint Marko thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
