Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johny Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loc Ly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johny Saint!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Loc Ly!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint misses with a jab, cross combination.
Saint circles away from the clinch attempt.

Ly closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Saint's guard.
Saint wants to stand up but Ly is controlling him.
Ly stands up over Saint, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Ly wanted to stand there but Saint had control of the position.

Ly gets to his feet - Saint follows without any prompting.
Saint with a lazy takedown attempt

and Ly counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Saint's guard now.
Saint knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ly on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Saint is keeping the position for now.
Saint being controlled here, momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saint is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ly is controlling him.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Saint is breathing heavily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Loc Ly wasn't active enough on the ground.

Ly fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Saint sprawls well initially but Ly persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Saint is in trouble now - Ly has advanced to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ly looking for a guillotine from mount but Saint is having none of it.

Ly has hold of Saint's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Saint manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ly quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Ly but it's paid off an Saint is forced to tap! Nice work by Ly.
