Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikica Vilusic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Davids (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davids shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vilusic but Vilusic pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Vilusic gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Vilusic gets control of Davids's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vilusic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Hans Davids hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Davids circles away from the clinch attempt.
Davids stalks Vilusic and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Vilusic's face. Vilusic staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Nikica Vilusic has been cut.

Davids is trying to drag Vilusic to the mat but Vilusic just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davids shoots in looking for a takedown. Vilusic tries to sprawl out of it but Davids keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vilusic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Davids has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vilusic uses from the top position.

Davids decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Davids drops back looking for a leg! Vilusic is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vilusic manages to kick Davids off! Davids jumps back into Vilusic's guard.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Davids lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That kick from Davids tenderised Vilusic's leg. Vilusic is trying to keep his angry face on.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vilusic stuffs the takedown attempt from Davids. Davids gets slowly back to his feet.
Vilusic shoots for a double leg takedown but Davids sprawls well. He's pushed Vilusic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Vilusic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Davids had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vilusic defends it easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nikica Vilusic.
I think Davids has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
