Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Papi Lon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Tiongson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiongson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lon shoots in for a takedown but Tiongson shows good takedown defense.
Lon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tiongson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Lon moves into the clinch.

Lon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tiongson, pushing him back against the cage.

Lon turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lon manages to end up in side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Tiongson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lon has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Lon tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Lon is trying to get an arm triangle but Tiongson is defending well.
Tiongson wants to control but Lon postures up.

Tiongson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
