A fine choice. Freeman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Judo Flip. Forrest Ranger has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ranger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Freeman pinned against the cage. Freeman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ranger moves into the clinch.
Freeman dodges an elbow strike from Ranger.
Freeman is trying to pull guard but Ranger turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Freeman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ranger smiles and moves away.

Forrest Ranger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Huey Freeman.
Ranger comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Freeman takes an elbow to the temple.
Ranger trying to control the position but instead, Freeman has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ranger into the cage.
Ranger lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Huey Freeman has been cut.
Freeman misses with a short punch on the inside.
Freeman is trying to pull guard but Ranger has him pressed against the cage.
Ranger lands a nice elbow.

Ranger successfully pulls guard.
Freeman advances to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ranger is not content to let Freeman control the position.

Freeman is looking for a kimura but Ranger is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Freeman to get the leverage.
