The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spaticus tries a low kick but Quagmire avoids it.
Spaticus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Quagmire moves out of range as Spaticus strikes.
Spaticus shoots in but Quagmire avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Quagmire misses with a double jab.
Spaticus looks to score with a jab to the body but Quagmire is just out of range.

and Quagmire counters with a series of strikes. Spaticus will be more careful next time no doubt.

Quagmire is pushing down on Spaticus's leg trying to pass to half guard. Spaticus is fighting to maintain full guard but Quagmire has managed to sneak the leg through.

Quagmire is trying to work for a kimura but Spaticus is defending well.
Spaticus is staying active underneath Quagmire, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Spaticus gets back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quagmire is pressing down on Spaticus's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spaticus is holding on for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Quagmire wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spaticus keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spaticus throws a sloppy head kick and Quagmire moves out of range easily.

Quagmire feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Spaticus lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Quagmire!

Spaticus goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Quagmire turns into him and now he's in Spaticus's guard.

Quagmire is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Spaticus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The strikes coming from Quagmire are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Spaticus is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Quagmire off and has taken his back!
Spaticus doesn't have the hooks in and Quagmire manages to turn into his guard.

Spaticus manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

A big strike lands for Spaticus! That's really hurt Quagmire and he's turned his back - Spaticus keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Spaticus Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
