The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWrestler is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
McWrestler takes a swing at Nicodemo's ribcage but misses.
McWrestler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nicodemo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McWrestler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nicodemo.
A chopping leg kick lands by McWrestler.
McWrestler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nicodemo misses with a two punch combination.
McWrestler moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
McWrestler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nicodemo was well out of range. Poor timing from McWrestler.
McWrestler misses with a straight right.
McWrestler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Nicodemo - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

McWrestler blocks an uppercut.
Nicodemo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McWrestler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nicodemo defends it nicely.
Nicodemo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McWrestler misses with a double jab.
Nicodemo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nicodemo takes a swing at McWrestler's ribcage but misses.
McWrestler throws a predictable looking body shot
and Nicodemo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McWrestler misses with a takedown attempt - Nicodemo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
McWrestler takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nicodemo connects with a looping right hand.

Nicodemo measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes McWrestler! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
