PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xhun Kawozinazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filipovic Krimo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Filipovic Krimo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xhun Kawozinazaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Filipovic Krimo!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krimo slaps away a takedown attempt from Kawozinazaki, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Krimo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kawozinazaki looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Krimo is fending him off so far but Kawozinazaki persists. Nope, Krimo circles away and we're back to standing.
Kawozinazaki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Krimo but Krimo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xhun Kawozinazaki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kawozinazaki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Krimo tries to avoid it but Kawozinazaki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Krimo to the ground. Krimo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kawozinazaki is breathing heavily.
Krimo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Xhun Kawozinazaki has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Krimo gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Krimo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Krimo moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Kawozinazaki! Krimo continues to tee off on Kawozinazaki, landing with a left and a right! Krimo connects with a right hand that leaves Kawozinazaki sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Krimo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Filipovic Krimo!
