Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davidson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kids - Sleigh Kids kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Davidson !
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miguel rushes Davidson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Miguel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Davidson tries to keep at a distance but Miguel has taken the fight into the clinch.

Miguel manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Davidson . Those never looked like landing.
Nice straight punches there by Davidson . You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Davidson .
Davidson tries for a takedown but Miguel circles away easily

and Miguel counters with a shoot takedown. Davidson fights it but they end up in guard.
Miguel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Miguel throwing strikes from guard but Davidson blocks nicely.
Miguel loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Miguel is working Davidson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Miguel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davidson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Miguel works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Miguel is working for a kimura but Davidson is defending it quite comfortably.

Davidson is defending against the submission attempts here by Miguel.
Miguel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Miguel lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Miguel is looking to take a break and control but Davidson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Davidson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miguel just stands there and leans against the cage.

Miguel has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Davidson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Miguel wants to get back to his feet but Davidson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Miguel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davidson is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miguel stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Davidson to get to his feet.
Davidson throws a combination. Miguel tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Miguel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Miguel breaks the clinch.

Miguel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davidson to the mat! Davidson manages to get full guard.
Miguel is standing up over Davidson . Davidson looks to escape but Miguel dives into side control.
Check out the look on Miguel's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Miguel is trying to ground and pound but Davidson uses the momentary lack of control by Miguel to regain half guard.

Davidson misses with a series of wild punches.

Miguel gets a clinch.
Miguel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Davidson can do to turn this around?

Miguel thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Miguel seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Miguel pushes Davidson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Davidson shoots in looking for a takedown. Miguel tries to sprawl out of it but Davidson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miguel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Miguel clinches.

Miguel jumps into guard, dragging Davidson to the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Miguel wriggles free and stands up.

Miguel has closed the distance and engaged Davidson in a clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Davidson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Miguel turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Miguel has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Davidson tries to keep at a distance but Miguel has taken the fight into the clinch.
Davidson fails to pull guard.
Knees in the clinch landing for Miguel.
Davidson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Miguel walks away with a smile on his face. Davidson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sam Miguel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Davidson .

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Miguel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Davidson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Miguel frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Davidson really wants to buck Miguel off and get back to his feet.
Miguel lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Miguel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Davidson looks a forlorn figure.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Miguel unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Davidson wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Miguel celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Miguel!
A relieved looking Sam Miguel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
