Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bowron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Koontz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koontz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DJ Khaled kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jason Koontz enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Bowron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Koontz!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowron tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Koontz with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jason Koontz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bowron throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Koontz's waist but Koontz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bowron off to one side.
Koontz pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bowron is out of range and Koontz settles back down.
Bowron closes the distance and clinches up with Koontz, looking for a takedown. Bowron pushes Koontz against the cage but Koontz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Koontz scores with a shot to the body.
Koontz lands with a thumping leg kick.
Koontz feints and then cracks Bowron's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bowron down.
Koontz throws a shot from downtown. Bowron moves away and avoids it.
Koontz is looking to clinch but Bowron is avoiding it.
Bowron takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bowron is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Koontz thumps Bowron with a low kick.
Bowron fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Bowron. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bowron shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Koontz sprawls well. Koontz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bowron gets slowly back to his feet.
An inside leg kick lands from Koontz.
Bowron stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Koontz.
Koontz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bowron.
Bowron chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Koontz can pounce on him.
Koontz throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bowron takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Koontz gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bowron is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Koontz crunches a lovely knee into Bowron's ribcage.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bowron. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Oh Bowron is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Koontz will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bowron up against the cage.
Koontz has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Bowron - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Koontz, and another! Bowron is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
