These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Filmer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gillings wants to get back to his feet but Filmer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gillings is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Filmer dives into side control.

Gillings pushes Filmer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Filmer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
