The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holliday closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santi to the mat! Santi manages to get full guard.

Santi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Santi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Holliday gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Santi is looking for a triangle here but Holliday uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Holliday trying to control the position but Santi is working away.

Holliday tries for a kimura but Santi is defending well.

Holliday looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Santi is working to avoid the ground and pound but Holliday connects with a decent elbow.
Santi is looking to regain half guard here but Holliday keeps moving and retains side control.
Holliday will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Holliday goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Santi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Holliday's guard! Nice work there by Santi!
Santi wants to get up but he can't break Holliday's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Santi wants to stand and escape but instead Holliday has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santi is not content to let Holliday control the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Holliday lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Santi tries to close the distance and clinch but Holliday swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Santi lands a takedown into guard.

Holliday has his foot on Santi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Santi works his way back into a safe position though.

Santi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Holliday has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santi has managed to get both his arms back between Holliday's legs - danger averted.
Santi is looking to stand up but Holliday won't let him.
Santi wants to stand and escape but instead Holliday has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Holliday trying to control the position from guard on top but Santi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Santi has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Holliday doesn't defend quickly enough and Santi has managed to lock this one up! Can Holliday escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Santi on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chris Santi!
