Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Tripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elroy Kleinschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tripper comes to the cage accompanied by Shout 2000. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tripper bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tripper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kleinschmidt swivels and escapes.
Kleinschmidt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kleinschmidt lands an overhand right.
Kleinschmidt fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tripper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kleinschmidt jabs Tripper to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kleinschmidt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tripper circles away.
Donk. Tripper catches Kleinschmidt right on the button with a cross.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tripper moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Tripper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kleinschmidt moves away.
Tripper throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tripper ducks right into an uppercut from Kleinschmidt.

and Tripper counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tripper misses with a shot to the body
and Kleinschmidt counters with a slapping leg kick.
Kleinschmidt throws a solid leg kick but Tripper takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kleinschmidt.
Kleinschmidt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tripper throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kleinschmidt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Tripper counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kleinschmidt's guard now.

Tripper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kleinschmidt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kleinschmidt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tripper stands and throws Kleinschmidt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Kleinschmidt tries to buck Tripper off but Tripper is having none of it.

Tripper is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kleinschmidt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kleinschmidt is trying to control Tripper's posture but Tripper avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kleinschmidt manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kleinschmidt dodges the punch combination from Tripper.
A low kick from Kleinschmidt misses
and Tripper counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Good leg kick by Kleinschmidt there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tripper will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kleinschmidt. That's going to slow Tripper down.
Elroy Kleinschmidt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kleinschmidt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kleinschmidt shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Kleinschmidt is breathing heavily.

Tripper jabs Kleinschmidt right on the nose. Kleinschmidt blinks but takes it well.
Tripper staying out of range there.
Tripper scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Tripper scores with a sloppy right hand. Kleinschmidt should have avoided that one.

It looks like Elroy Kleinschmidt has been cut.
Kleinschmidt misses with a hook. Tripper ducked under it nicely.
A right-left combo lands from Tripper.
Tripper throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Kleinschmidt's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Tripper dives in looking to finish as Kleinschmidt flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Tripper's strikes! Tripper is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Kleinschmidt's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Kleinschmidt was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
