Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rehti Ladi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pasi Rantala!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rantala on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ladi throws a push kick but Rantala slaps the foot to one side.
Ladi lands with a kick to the temple. Rantala shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Ladi scores with a head kick. Rantala tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rantala is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ladi keeps Rantala at a distance using the push kick.
Rantala cracks Ladi with an open hand slap.
Ladi lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Rantala crumples to the floor! Ladi milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Rehti Ladi!
In his post fight interview, Rehti Ladi started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
