The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mc Guillotine feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Face manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Face wants to control the pace but Mc Guillotine is squirming around nicely.

Face is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mc Guillotine has managed to escape the submission attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Face is landing with some decent strikes but Mc Guillotine is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Face prevents Mc Guillotine from getting the reversal.
Face scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Mc Guillotine is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Face has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mc Guillotine's face.
Face takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mc Guillotine bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Face bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mc Guillotine's guard.
Mc Guillotine can't keep his opponent in guard - Face advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Face looks to land a right hand but Mc Guillotine moved out of range.
Face jabbing away but nothing is landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Face misses the shot to the body.

Face throws a nice looking combination but Mc Guillotine bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Face throws a jab but it's blocked by Mc Guillotine.

Mc Guillotine feints and as Face raises his hands in defense, Mc Guillotine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mc Guillotine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mc Guillotine drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mc Guillotine jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Face wants to sweep but no luck.
Face not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mc Guillotine got a little sloppy there for a moment and Face has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mc Guillotine has managed to get both his arms back between Face's legs - danger averted.
Mc Guillotine wants to pass the guard but Face is keeping the position.

Mc Guillotine thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mc Guillotine is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Face knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

I really don't envy Mc Guillotine right now.

Face looking to break Mc Guillotine's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Mc Guillotine remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Face will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
