Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chak Chak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chak Chak has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chak Chak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Masters!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chak lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Masters has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Masters and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Chak gets tackled into the cage by Masters. Masters maintains the clinch.

Masters pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Chak gets caught flat footed, as Masters shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Chak being controlled here, momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Masters might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Masters was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Chak throws out a loose jab but Masters uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Masters closes the distance and clinches up with Chak, looking for a takedown. Masters pushes Chak against the cage but Chak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Masters lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chak looks to score with a jab to the body but Masters is just out of range.
Chak motions for Masters to come forward. Chak throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Chak misses with a kick to the body.
Chak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Masters avoids the body shot from Chak.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big left from Chak misses.

Chak gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Masters to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Masters won't allow Chak to get back to his feet.
Masters is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Masters gets to his feet. Chak looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Masters showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chak.

Masters gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Masters wants a takedown but no success here.
Masters tries to pull guard but Chak won't allow it.
Chak Chak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Masters.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Masters's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Masters should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Masters avoids the head kick by Chak.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Chak misses with a double jab.
Chak connects with a body shot that sends Masters's belly button to the back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Masters dominated that round.
That's time! Chak's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Chak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Masters fails with a takedown attempt.
Chak is looking to chop away at Masters's legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chak takes a swing at Masters's ribcage but misses.
Masters dives in and grabs Chak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chak pushes down on Masters's head and hops out.
Chak throws a right hand that Masters ducks under and follows up with a left that Masters also avoids with ease.

Chak throws the left hand but Masters avoids the punch easily.
Chak throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Masters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jason Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masters shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chak as he avoids it easily.
Chak Chak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Masters.
Chak throws a nice looking combination but Masters bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chak misses with a double jab.
Masters fails with a takedown attempt.
Masters is breathing heavily.
Chak throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chak is looking to wear down Masters with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Masters throws a nice head kick!
Chak misses with a wild combination.
The fighters circling - Chak throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Chak throws a leg kick that misses.
Chak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chak thows a body shot but no joy.
Chak stuffs the takedown.

Masters has taken the fight to the clinch.

Masters tightens his grip and picks Chak up, before dumping him to the ground. Chak manages to land in guard.
Masters prevents Chak from getting back to his feet.
Masters slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Masters stops Chak from standing up.
Masters is pushing down on Chak's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chak is fighting to maintain full guard but Masters has managed to sneak the leg through.

Chak looks like he's trying to stand up.
Masters stalling.

Masters decides to return to a standing position.
Chak Chak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Masters showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chak.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Masters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Masters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chak tries to avoid it but Masters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chak to the ground. Chak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Masters slips a jab and a cross from Chak.

Masters shoots for a takedown but Chak saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Masters turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Masters takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Masters controls the position.
Chak wants to get back to his feet but Masters drags him back down.
Masters is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Masters moves into full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Masters looking to control and managing it successfully.
Chak's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Masters working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Chak looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Masters! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jason Masters!
A very excited looking Jason Masters made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
