Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allen Iverson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker's entrance music is The Doors - Peace Frog. A fine choice. Jack Walker has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Walker!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allen Iverson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iverson misses with a body punch
and Walker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Walker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Iverson misses with a looping right.
Walker cracks Iverson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Iverson misses the jab.
Iverson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Iverson wants it to stay on the feet.
Iverson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively.

Walker drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Walker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Walker sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Iverson's guard.
Iverson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Walker is looking for a kimura but Iverson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Walker to get the leverage.

Walker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walker sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Walker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Iverson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Iverson tries to lock up and control but Walker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Walker landing strikes, looking to finish!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee warns Iverson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Iverson is bucking up trying to escape but Walker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Walker works to advance to full mount. Iverson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Walker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
BOOM! Walker connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Walker has hold of Iverson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Iverson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Walker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Iverson is desperately trying to improve his position but Walker has a good base and remains in mount.

Walker unloads with some shots from mount but Iverson bucks and avoids them well.

Walker wants to control the pace but Iverson is squirming around nicely.

Walker is landing with some decent strikes but Iverson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Iverson is just holding on here. Walker manages to take his back.

Walker throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Iverson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Walker is in Iverson's guard.

Walker takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Walker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Iverson was covering up waiting for the punch and Walker finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That was a close round but Jack Walker did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Walker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Iverson tries to avoid it but Walker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Iverson to the ground. Iverson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Jack Walker will probably get the nod.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Walker holds on and takes a little breather.

Iverson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Iverson has managed to get both his arms back between Walker's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Walker, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
