Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Silva!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a head kick that misses.
Baby lands a head shot.


It looks like Frank Silva has been cut.

Baby moves into the clinch successfully.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Baby gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Baby is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Baby can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Baby not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Silva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Baby content to stall in guard here.

Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Baby is aware though and is defending well.

Baby postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Baby wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baby has one foot on Silva's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Silva gets caught flat footed, as Baby shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baby manages to get himself to full guard.

Silva drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Baby dives on top into guard.

Baby decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet.
Silva shoots in but Baby avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Baby connects with a single shot there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Baby drives through with a takedown into Silva's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Baby has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Baby seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Baby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Baby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva wants to sweep here but Baby controlling him for the moment.
