Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Colm Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esteban Gola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liddel has closed the distance and engaged Gola in a clinch.

Liddel successfully pulls guard.
Gola trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gola pushing down on Liddel's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Gola is trying to control the action in half guard but Liddel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gola trying to mount his opponent but Liddel defends it.
Gola looks to land a strike but Liddel avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Liddel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Liddel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gola backs up against the cage.

Liddel lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gola will feel that in the morning.
Gola moves out of range of the body kick.
Gola misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Liddel darts in and clinches Gola up against the cage.
Gola wants a takedown.
Gola stops a takedown attempt from Liddel.
Gola misses with a knee strike.
Liddel has Gola pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gola manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gola landing knees to the head.
Gola tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Gola trying to stall but Liddel improves his position.
Gola looks gassed!
Liddel is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Liddel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gola stuffs the takedown attempt from Liddel. Liddel gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colm Liddel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Liddel or perhaps it was just good defense by Gola which made him look bad.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gola tries to land a knee to the head but Liddel blocks with his arms.

Gola wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Liddel lands a knee to the head.

Liddel wants to get back to striking at distance but Gola won't allow it.
A body shot lands from Liddel.
Liddel wants to break free but Gola has control.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Liddel takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Liddel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gola just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gola can't get the takedown.
Gola misses with a knee to the head.

Liddel pulls guard successfully.

Liddel has his feet on Gola's thighs here. He's pushed Gola off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gola screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
