The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shirow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shirow fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Robinson misses.
Shirow throws a nice looking combination but Robinson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shirow closes the distance and clinches up with Robinson, looking for a takedown. Shirow pushes Robinson against the cage but Robinson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nobunaga Shirow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shirow walks into a straight right hand from Robinson.
Robinson dances in with a quick combination. Shirow is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Robinson snaps Shirow's head back. Shirow stumbles backwards against the cage. Robinson steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Shirow's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Shirow just didn't come prepared.
