The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malek was well out of range. Poor timing from Bang.

Malek on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Malek blocks a leg kick.
Malek fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bang is out of range.
Ryan Bang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bang looks to score with a jab to the body but Malek is just out of range.

and Malek makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bang looks to land a left hand but Malek moved out of range nicely.

Malek lands a big head kick that sends Bang tumbling to the mat! Malek takes a step backwards and waves Bang back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jai Malek spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
