Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rj Paned (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Rj Paned!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Dwayne Harris!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paned looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Harris avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Paned is stalling in the full guard.
Harris wants to control the position but Paned says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Paned is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Harris has managed to free his arm - good work.
Paned could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paned is thwarting Harris's attempts to control the position.
Harris tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rj Paned wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Harris misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Harris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Harris throws a sloppy head kick

and Paned decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Harris's guard.
Harris looking to hit a scissor sweep but Paned is one step ahead there.
Harris is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Paned is controlling him.

Paned decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Harris, up you get!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Paned.
Harris is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Paned seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Harris for as long as he can get away with.
Harris is looking for a sweep.

Paned wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harris keeps working.

Harris takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Paned decides to stand back up. Paned steps back and let's Harris get back to his feet.

Dwayne Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paned avoids the head kick by Harris.
Harris throws a sloppy head kick and Paned moves out of range easily.
Paned fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Harris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Paned is breathing heavily.
Harris throws a sloppy head kick and Paned moves out of range easily.
Harris lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Paned takes the fight into the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Paned has had enough of the clinch but Harris keeps him there for the moment.
Paned's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rj Paned dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Paned blocks a head kick by Harris.
Rj Paned is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Paned forces Harris back against the cage and clinches.
Harris tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Paned just stands there and leans against the cage.
Paned has Harris pressed against the cage, preventing Harris from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Paned manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Harris wants to control from the top but Paned keeps moving.
Paned might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Paned manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Harris is wriggling around trying to escape.

Paned looking to control but Harris is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Paned avoids the attempt from Harris to control.

Paned lands with some strikes.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Paned cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Paned is landing with some decent strikes but Harris is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Harris wants to hold on but Paned pushes him away.
Paned controlling the pace for now.
Harris is working to get back to half guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Paned postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Harris looks a forlorn figure.
Harris wants to control but Paned is having none of it.
Paned looking to control and managing it successfully.
Harris is looking to improve his position but Paned isn't that keen on the idea.

Harris wants to hold on but Paned pushes him away.

Harris is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Paned is looking to work his way around to Harris's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Paned dives in and scores a takedown into Harris's guard.

Paned decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Paned closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Paned has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Harris is looking to regain half guard here but Paned keeps moving and retains side control.
Harris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Harris is trying to control Paned's posture but Paned avoids it.
Paned wants to control but Harris is keeping him busy.

Rj Paned has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Harris misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Harris throws a head kick but Paned moves out of range.

Paned shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Paned was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Harris is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rj Paned overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Paned looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Harris tries to buck Paned off but he can't manage it.
Paned has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Harris's face.
Harris trying desperately to get to his feet.
Harris sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Paned is working for an americana but Harris has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Paned was thinking about the submission.
Harris thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Harris throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Harris wants to stand up but Paned is controlling him.
Paned wants to pass the guard but Harris is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Paned throwing strikes from guard but Harris blocks nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rj Paned showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Paned, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
