Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Glauco Matheus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diogo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diogo Souza told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Souza closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Souza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Souza is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Matheus is trying to escape and Souza transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Matheus is forced to tap! Nice work there by Souza! Very nice indeed!
