The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Whartenby moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jackson throws a right hand that Whartenby ducks under and follows up with a left that Whartenby also avoids with ease.
Whartenby stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Cole Jackson has been cut.

Whartenby looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Whartenby persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Whartenby throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Jackson stumbling backwards into the cage! Jackson bounces back off the cage towards Whartenby, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Whartenby lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Whartenby celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
