Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Markic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joey West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marko Markic!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West throws a right and a left that Markic avoids nicely.
West shoots in for a takedown but Markic shows good takedown defense.
Markic misses with a double jab.
Markic lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Joey West has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
West misses with a series of wild punches.
West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Markic darts in and clinches West up against the cage.

Markic jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
West is fighting to break Markic's control of his arms but Markic is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Markic pushes West off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
West fails to land the takedown.
Marko Markic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West stuffs the takedown attempt from Markic. Markic gets slowly back to his feet.

Markic drops West with a beautiful combination! West stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Markic is looking for the KO!

West is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Markic closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Markic takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Markic lands a shoulder strike.
Oh West is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Joey West's cut is getting worse.
West misses with the head strike.
West seems to have got his legs back now.
Markic has had enough of the clinch but West keeps him there for the moment.
Markic throws an elbow but it misses.

West successfully pulls guard.
West will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

West is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Markic defends well.
West is breathing heavily.
Markic wants to pass the guard but West is keeping the position.

Markic trying to stand up but can't free himself from West's guard.
West is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Markic is in close to West's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Joey West's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
West is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Markic tries to free his leg and advance position but West is retaining full guard.

West looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Markic gets to his feet. West looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Markic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Markic lands with a hook. West tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Jeez, Joey West's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Markic throws a right and a left that West avoids nicely.
Markic takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
