Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson comes to the cage accompanied by Thriller Indiano. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rick Welsh!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tyson pinned against the cage. Tyson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tyson tried to score with a low kick but Welsh checks it.
Tyson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Welsh manages to avoid it.
Tyson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Welsh is able to avoid easily.
Tyson misses with a hook.
Tyson motions for Welsh to come forward. Tyson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tyson throws a leg kick that is checked

and Welsh counters with a nice double leg into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Tyson is adopting a defensive guard.
Tyson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Welsh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Welsh slips nicely into half guard.

Welsh is working for a submission of some sort.

Welsh is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Welsh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tyson is just riding it out for now. Welsh eventually gives up the hold.

Welsh is trying to work for a kimura but Tyson is defending well.
Tyson is trying to maintain the position but Welsh is very close to passing his half guard.

Welsh seems to be looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tyson keeping hold of Welsh's head, controlling as best he can.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Welsh frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Welsh looking to ground and pound but Tyson is blocking nicely.

Welsh looking for a guillotine from mount but Tyson is having none of it.
Tyson regains half guard.

Welsh is working for a kimura here but Tyson manages to reverse the position and he's now in Welsh's guard.
Tyson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Welsh is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Welsh is looking for a triangle but Tyson pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tyson trying to control the position from guard on top but Welsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rick Welsh dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tyson scores with a three punch combo!
A head kick misses from Tyson.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Welsh checks a leg kick.
Welsh blocks a leg kick.
Welsh takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tyson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tyson lands with a nice combination. Welsh backs away looking to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Welsh blocks a head kick by Tyson.
Welsh has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tyson.
Welsh is breathing heavily.
Tyson motions for Welsh to come forward. Tyson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Tyson lands with a right hand.
Welsh blocks a head kick by Tyson.
Tyson connects with a single shot there.
Welsh is looking to clinch but Tyson is avoiding it.
Tyson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Tyson scores with a three punch combo!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tyson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tyson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Welsh.
Welsh gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tyson counters with a straight right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tyson throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tyson thuds his shin into the meat of Welsh's side.
That kick from Tyson tenderised Welsh's leg. Welsh is trying to keep his angry face on.
Tyson lands a leg kick that knocks Welsh off balance momentarily.
Tyson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Welsh's calf.
Jason Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Welsh.
A slapping leg kick lands for Tyson.
Tyson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Welsh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Both fighters circling a little - Tyson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Jason Tyson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Good shot there by Tyson.
Tyson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Welsh. That did some damage!
Tyson scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Tyson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Welsh takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crunch! Tyson slams his shin into Welsh's torso.
Welsh's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Tyson feints and then cracks Welsh's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Welsh down.
Tyson throws a quick inside leg kick.
Welsh misses with a few strikes there.
Tyson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tyson connects with a leg kick. Welsh looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Welsh tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rick Welsh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tyson scores with a punch to the head.
Tyson lands with a shot to the body.

Tyson lands a left and a right that send Welsh crashing to the mat, dazed. Tyson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Welsh is rocked!
Tyson scoring well with a low kick there.
Welsh is still on wobbly legs! Can Tyson finish him?
Jason Tyson is winning the standup battle so far.
Tyson stuns Welsh with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Welsh seems to have recovered his senses.
Tyson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Welsh can do to turn this around?
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tyson tries a head kick but it misses.
Tyson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Tyson dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Tyson lands a jab to the head.
Welsh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Tyson lands a big head kick that sends Welsh tumbling to the mat! Tyson takes a step backwards and waves Welsh back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tyson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Welsh takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Tyson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Welsh falls backwards - clearly groggy! Tyson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Tyson!
Jason Tyson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
