Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Van Dinh Nguyen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Heb Sawyers!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawyers doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Nguyen counters with an outside leg kick.
Sawyers blocks a head kick by Nguyen.
Nguyen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Nguyen lands a nice looking body shot.
Sawyers shoots and misses
and Nguyen counters with a head kick.
A head kick misses from Nguyen.
Nguyen fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sawyers tries for a takedown but Nguyen circles away easily
and Nguyen counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Van Dinh Nguyen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heb Sawyers.

Nguyen lands an elbow that stopped Sawyers in his tracks for a moment.
Nguyen scores a nice knee to the body.

Nguyen lands a hook that snaps the head of Sawyers backwards.
Nguyen creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sawyers's defenses.
Nguyen lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Nguyen putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Sawyers in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Nguyen working the clinch nicely. Sawyers is working for position but Nguyen cracks him with a big knee to the head! Sawyers crumples up against the ropes and Nguyen lands two more shots before the ref can save Sawyers! This one is all over!
