The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kohsaka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McSweeny stalks Kohsaka and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kohsaka's face. Kohsaka staggers backwards, shaken.
Kohsaka slips a jab and a cross from McSweeny.
Kohsaka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McSweeny slaps away a takedown attempt from Kohsaka, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tsuyoshi Kohsaka. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kohsaka feints and as McSweeny raises his hands in defense, Kohsaka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
McSweeny has a closed guard, preventing Kohsaka from standing up.

Kohsaka stands up and waves to McSweeny to follow him.
Sloppy strikes from McSweeny. Those never looked like landing.

McSweeny moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kohsaka shoots in looking for a takedown. McSweeny tries to sprawl out of it but Kohsaka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. McSweeny manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McSweeny will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kohsaka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Eliott McSweeny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kohsaka closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

McSweeny misses with the combination.
Kohsaka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McSweeny throws a series of punches but Kohsaka moves out of range.
Kohsaka gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McSweeny counters with a series of strikes. Kohsaka will be more careful next time no doubt.

It looks like Tsuyoshi Kohsaka has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McSweeny lands a left and a right that send Kohsaka crashing to the mat, dazed. McSweeny thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Kohsaka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McSweeny connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Kohsaka to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by McSweeny!
