The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wade is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Boxer Jr.
Boxer Jr throws an overhand right that lands on Wade's shoulder, as Wade tries to avoid the shot.

Wade closes the distance and clinches.
Wade tries to score a body lock takedown but Boxer Jr shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A shot in the inside from Wade.
Wade is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Wade tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Wade misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wade lands a nice uppercut.
Boxer Jr tries to break the clinch but Wade is controlling the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wade has Boxer Jr pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wade pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Boxer Jr tumbling to the mat - Wade dives into Boxer Jr's guard.
Wade forces his way into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wade moves nicely into side control.

Wade throws a strike aimed at the side of Boxer Jr's head but Boxer Jr avoids it well.
Wade is looking to take a break and control but Boxer Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boxer Jr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wade wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Boxer Jr is trying to control Wade's posture but Wade avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wade looking to control but instead Boxer Jr has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Boxer Jr wants to get back to full guard.

Wade is trying to control. Boxer Jr wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Boxer Jr tries to roll over but Wade keeps him under control.

Wade passes the guard and advances to mount!
Boxer Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boxer Jr tries to get out of the position.
Wade throws some wild stikes that Boxer Jr manages to avoid easily.
Wade tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Boxer Jr wants to control but Wade is having none of it.
Boxer Jr can't escape the position.
Wade is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Boxer Jr can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Wade takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Boxer Jr is looking to improve his position but Wade isn't that keen on the idea.
Wade scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boxer Jr is desperately trying to improve his position but Wade has a good base and remains in mount.
Oh Boxer Jr is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wade landing strikes from the mount.
Wade loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Boxer Jr scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Wade land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Wade stands and salutes the crowd.

In his post fight interview, Kane Wade started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
