Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justino Cordobes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordobes moves to clinch but Wayne breaks away
and Cordobes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cordobes throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wayne's head.
Cordobes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wayne manages to avoid it.
Cordobes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wayne.
Cordobes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Justino Cordobes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wayne moves in looking to clinch but Cordobes pushes him off.
Cordobes closes the distance but Wayne moves to the side
enabling Wayne to counter with a crisp jab.
Cordobes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wayne avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Cordobes shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cordobes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cordobes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wayne is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wayne gets to his feet and stands over Cordobes, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Cordobes felt that one! Wayne unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Cordobes from any more punishment!
