The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gutierrez has managed to clinch.
Franco is trying to break the clinch but Gutierrez has him pressed against the cage.
Gutierrez tries to pull guard but Franco won't allow it.

Gutierrez has hold of one of Franco's legs. Franco is fighting the takedown attempt but Gutierrez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gutierrez prevents Franco from getting back to his feet.

Gutierrez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Franco wants to get back to his feet but Gutierrez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Franco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gutierrez . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gutierrez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Franco's guard.
