Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirimoto Roboto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Munoz's entrance music is 50 Cent - In Da Club . A fine choice. The key to victory for Jorge Munoz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jorge Munoz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mirimoto Roboto!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Roboto as Munoz shoots in.

Roboto manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Munoz on his heels. He'll look to pass Munoz's guard now, I'm sure.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Munoz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Roboto wants to control from the top but Munoz keeps moving.
Roboto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Munoz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Roboto landing some decent shots from guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Munoz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Roboto defends it easily.

Munoz has his foot on Roboto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roboto works his way back into a safe position though.

Roboto in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roboto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Munoz is really struggling to control Roboto but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jorge Munoz just wasn't active enough.
Munoz is looking to clinch but Roboto is avoiding it.
A right-left combo lands from Munoz.


It looks like Mirimoto Roboto has been cut.

Roboto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Munoz is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Munoz is breathing heavily.
Roboto is looking to take a break and control but Munoz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Munoz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Roboto wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Roboto in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Munoz avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Roboto.
Roboto wants to control but Munoz is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Munoz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Roboto connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Roboto cracks Munoz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Munoz is looking to improve his position but Roboto isn't that keen on the idea.
Munoz manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Roboto is thwarting Munoz's attempts to control the position.

Roboto is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Munoz trying to control but Roboto postures up.
Roboto works his foot free and advances to mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Roboto prevents Munoz from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jorge Munoz will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Mirimoto Roboto's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Munoz shoots in and drives through. Roboto sprawls well.
Munoz dodges the punch combination from Roboto.
A looping hook to the body misses from Roboto. Munoz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Munoz shoots for a double leg takedown but Roboto sprawls well. He's pushed Munoz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Roboto shoots in and bounces Munoz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Roboto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Munoz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roboto gets to his feet. Munoz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Munoz shoots for a double leg takedown but Roboto sprawls well. He's pushed Munoz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorge Munoz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Munoz has his feet on Roboto's thighs here. He's pushed Roboto off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Roboto screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
