Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hammy Carlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastien Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hammy Carlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sebastien Suarez!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez tries for a takedown but Carlin circles away easily

and Carlin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carlin.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Carlin showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Carlin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Suarez is proving hard to escape from.

Carlin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Suarez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carlin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carlin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Suarez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Carlin is thwarting Suarez's attempts to control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Carlin in particular looking to stall.
Carlin tries to stand but can't do so whilst Suarez controls his leg.
Carlin landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Carlin stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Suarez misses with a takedown attempt

and Carlin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Carlin is pushing Suarez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Carlin breaks the clinch.

Carlin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Suarez's half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carlin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Suarez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Carlin wants to get back to his feet.
Suarez is pressing down on Carlin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Carlin looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Carlin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Carlin gets to his feet. Suarez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Carlin throws a series of punches but Suarez moves out of range.

Carlin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Carlin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Suarez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carlin tries to avoid it but Suarez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carlin to the ground. Carlin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hammy Carlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sebastien Suarez.

Carlin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Carlin is breathing heavily.
Suarez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Suarez is not content to let Carlin control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Carlin is keen to just control but Suarez is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Carlin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Carlin looking to sit in guard and control but Suarez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Carlin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Suarez defends well.

Carlin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Suarez is one step ahead there.
Carlin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carlin tries to get out of the position.
Carlin has Suarez pulled in close to control his posture.

Suarez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Suarez wants to take a breather but Carlin is having none of it.

Suarez is trying to work for a kimura but Carlin is defending well.
Suarez throwing shots but Carlin is blocking nicely.

Suarez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Carlin defend it? Suarez steps over the head and cranks it - Carlin is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Suarez!
