PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Gernansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gernansky's entrance music is Red October. A fine choice. Mike Tyson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gernansky closes the distance and clinches up with Tyson, looking for a takedown. Gernansky pushes Tyson against the cage but Tyson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tyson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Tyson wants to get up but he can't break Gernansky's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Tyson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gernansky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gernansky changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tyson tries to avoid it but Gernansky manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tyson to the ground. Tyson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
