Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tiger JonesJr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Sevchenko!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sevchenko shoots in for a double leg but JonesJr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sevchenko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. JonesJr is trying to defend but Sevchenko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
JonesJr tries to kick Sevchenko off but Sevchenko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Sevchenko is working for a submission of some sort.

JonesJr kicks off Sevchenko and gets to his feet.
Sevchenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
JonesJr throws a right and a left that Sevchenko avoids nicely.

Sevchenko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
JonesJr wants to get back to his feet.

Sevchenko is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sevchenko lands strikes from half guard.

Sevchenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. JonesJr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sevchenko.
JonesJr tries to kick Sevchenko off but Sevchenko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
JonesJr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if JonesJr tries to get out of the position.
JonesJr on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Sevchenko prevents JonesJr from standing back up.

Sevchenko is taking a breather. JonesJr says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

JonesJr has hold of Sevchenko's hands but Sevchenko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
JonesJr pushes Sevchenko off looking to stand but Sevchenko dives back in and keeps control.

Sevchenko takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
JonesJr tries to kick Sevchenko off but Sevchenko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Sevchenko tries to pass the half guard into mount. JonesJr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sevchenko wants to take a breather but JonesJr is having none of it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sevchenko lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sevchenko thows a huge punch but JonesJr dodges it nicely.
