PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaroslav Jez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Sence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Face the pain - Stemm. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sence moves into range and clinches up with Jez.
Jez lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sence backwards.
Jez lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Jez gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Sence avoiding damage as Jez throws knees to the body.

Sence gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Jez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sence is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jaroslav Jez just wasn't active enough.

Sence fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jez, pushing him back against the cage.

Sence jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jez walks away with a smile on his face. Sence gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sence closes the distance and clinches.

Jez throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

It looks like Charlie Sence has been cut.

Jez gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Sence tries to pull guard but Jez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Sence is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jez is defending well for now.

Sence drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jez pulls his leg out and moves away.

That kick from Jez tenderised Sence's leg. Sence is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sence on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Jez cracks the inside of Sence's front leg.

Jez lands a big head kick that sends Sence tumbling to the mat! Jez takes a step backwards and waves Sence back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Jez dips a shoulder and cracks Sence with a mighty uppercut! Sence falls back against the cage and Jez unloads with a barrage of strikes! Sence is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Jez screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
